Mother's Day 2011

We took a trip to Greg's parents' home in south Alabama this weekend to visit for Mother's Day. When we arrived, we were amazed! Grandmama had decorated the carport with colorful balloons and streamers. There were toys set out, a small pool, a sand box and bubbles. Leah thought it was the grandest thing. Grandmama outdid herself. It was a lot of fun especially when the other cousins arrived. We had not seen them all since September 2010. We played outside for hours, and Leah was exhausted and dirty by the end of the day.

Oh what fun!

Relaxing for just a moment.

On Mother's Day, I was given a beautiful necklace which is a Rebekah Blocher design (http://www.rebekahblocher.com). Each of her jewelry pieces has a Bible verse as their name. The one I received is Romans 15:13 which states, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." I love it. We had a great day relaxing and spending time with family.

Oh how I love this little one.

Grandmama and her grandkids.

What a blessing to be a mommy. It still amazes me that we have her in our lives. To think that we had given up on having a biological child, and then God decided to show us that we don't know anything!!!

Thank you, God, for letting me be this wonderful little girl's mommy. Thank you for our families who love and support us. Thank you for allowing us to have time to spend with family. Thank you for showing us what joy, peace and overflowing hope can come to us through your Holy Spirit.
